In May Half Term our students competed at All England’s ‘Home Counties’ Regional Final. We had some incredible results with 19 dances qualifying for Grand National Finals!!

1st place: Eva modern Solo, Eva MT solo, Daisy, Livia, Eva and Jess – modern quartet, Junior Tap group, Senior Tap group, Senior Contemporary group, Jess Y – tap solo, Mia, Saskia and Freya – Contemporary trio

2nd place: Jess M tap solo, Jess M modern solo, Emily and Grace – narrative duet, Lily – MT solo, Eva and Daisy – MT duet, Lola, Darcie and Millie – tap trio

3rd place: Leona – MT solo, Lila – national solo, Jess M – greek solo, Junior Modern group

Honours mark: Inter modern group ( through to grand finals )

Only the 6th of July we held our Beck Theatre Show ‘Dance into Summer’

Our amazing students had worked so hard practising their routines throughout the Spring and Summer term and performed in two incredible shows in front of their friends and families!

Here is what our parents and students thought about our show day:

Student: ” We look forward to the Beck Show for two years! The best experience ever! A whole day of dancing and performing with your close friends what more could you wish for! We loved every second of it and can not wait for the next one!”

From the 25th to the 31st of July our students who qualified their dances to All England’s National Grand Finals travelled to Wolverhampton to compete!

The atmosphere at finals was simply amazing – an incredible achievement for our students to be performing amongst the most talented dancers in the country!

To top it all off our Junior Tap group – were awarded 2nd place – a fantastic achievement and a very special medal they can cherish forever!

We held our annual Summer Fun week in August where students get the chance to create their own dances, learn a musical theatre number and a group dance in preparation for the end of week show!!

Our students get to choose the music, costumes and choreograph their own routine – a perfect way for them to express their creativity!

Not only does the week involve lots of singing and dancing but we also play games, do arts and crafts, biscuit decorating and a costume making competition ( where the students get to dress up the teachers!!! )

Our Leona and Tahila both were cast in leading roles in the Beck Theatre’s 2024 Summer Youth Project ‘Legally Blonde’.

Leona played the role of Serena and Tahila played Margot!

The girls did us proud and were amazing in the production! Well done girls we are very proud of you!
